Objectives: To evaluate impact Dalbergia ecastaphyllum (L.) Taub. dry leaf extract, a species Fabaceae family that is commonly found in Brazil, on blood coagulation. Materials Methods: A statistical design experiments was carried out selection five factors two levels, resulting 32 different ethanolic raw extracts. The extracts were resuspended saline tested pool human blood. activated partially thromboplastin time (APTT) prothrombin (PT) analysed Thrombolyzer®. Results: Treatment using ethanol 70%, drug/solvent ratio 5%, pH 9 dynamic maceration 6 hrs resulted best combination extraction total phenols, while 5% 24 showed flavonoid extraction, being inconclusive.
